AN UPDATE FROM PRESTON CARIBBEAN CARNIVAL
Further to our statement of 9th April regarding postponement of the Preston Caribbean Carnival weekend, it has become
clear that although things are better than they were, there would still be many challenges to overcome for the weekend to
take place in the usual format this year due to Covid-19.
After consultations with the Council and taking government advice we have decided to act in the best interest of everyone
connected with Preston Caribbean Carnival and ‘One Park Living Legends’ to postpone our planned weekend of events
until next year.
As organisers we are very upset & disappointed that this year we are not able to host our weekend - 'ONE PARK Living
Legends' music festival & Carnival procession & family fun day on the park, however the safety of all involved, public
servants and the general public is our paramount concern.
However, we are extremely excited to present Preston’s 1st virtual Carnival event incorporating elements from both ‘One
Park Living Legends' & Preston Caribbean Carnival 2020. This event will take place on Sunday 9th August. We hope you will
grab a drink, put your costume on, jump up and enjoy with us.
